Yami Gautam Reveals That She Suffers From Skin Condition Called Keratosis-Pilaris

Yami Gautam also shared a bunch of unedited pictures embracing her skin on Twitter

The actress Yami Gautam has disclosed she suffers from a skin condition known as Keratosis pilaris. She also said that she was diagnosed with the condition in her teens, and the treatment isn't available.

Yami also posted a number of photos that were not edited and embracing her beautiful skin on Twitter.

Alongside the photos she also wrote: "Hello friends, I recently shot for some images and just when they were about to go in for post-production (a common procedure) to conceal my skin condition called Keratosis-Pilaris, I thought, 'Hey Yami, why don't you embrace this fact and accept it enough to be OKAY with it."

Keratosis is a condition which causes rough patches as well as tiny acne-like bumps on the face.

Yami also added that: "I also found the courage to speak out with you. Phew! I wasn't feeling that I needed to airbrush my hair smoothing the 'under-eye' area or'shaping' up your waist a bit more! But, I'm gorgeous."

She admitted that she's had to deal with the issue for years, and is now deciding to release her anxieties about the issue.

"I discovered this skin condition in my teens and there's no cure. I've been fighting it for a long time and, finally, today I have decided to release all of my worries and anxieties and was able to embrace and love my flaws with all my heart," she concluded.
