There was no new major Hollywood release this weekend and hence the holdover films continued to attract the audience, although in a limited way.

Because there was no new huge Hollywood launch this weekend, holdover movies continued to attract audiences, although in tiny amounts. While everyone waits for Warner Bros.' following biggie Godzilla vs Kong to reach theatres, Tom and Jerry, Raya and the Last Dragon, and Chaos Walking got added to their tally.

This is the way the worldwide box office appears this week.

Chaos Walking, Tom Holland's sci-fi experience, had a $3.8 Million opening weekend at the United States as it premiered last week. It earned $2.6 million from around the world. According to Box Office Mojo, the movie kept stable at lower rates in the USA, taking in another $3.1 million. Additionally, it earned $2.4 million over a worldwide scale.

The movie's cumulative worldwide gross profit is currently $11.9 million, with $6.9 million coming in the national marketplace and $5 million coming from global markets.

Raya and the Last Dragon was able to do well at the box office. In the USA, the movie grossed $7.2 million, down from $8.6 million the preceding weekend. The overseas exchange markets, on the other hand, were in a state of flux. From the end of the weekend, the company in the worldwide territories had climbed to $36.8 million, up from $7.6 million the prior weekend. The movie's global gross has surpassed $50 million, bringing the total to $52.6 million. In the event the movie's performance in global markets stays constant, it could have the ability to reach the 100 million mark.

On the next weekend, Tom and Jerry remains going strong. The movie has grossed $28.2 million from the USA and $38.7 million abroad, for a total of $66.9 million globally.

Raya and the Last Dragon, in addition to Tom and Jerry, are actually Chasing the 100 million mark. Even though it won't be a fantastic number, it'll be better than being poor from the game.

Godzilla vs Kong, which will be set to get a wide release on March 31, 2021, has everybody's interest. In India, many European nations, and Taiwan, the movie is going to probably be released a week before, and it'll be important to learn how it performs globally.
