Although this clash at the box office is unprecedented, some trade analysts and exhibitors are worried about it. Some say it is best to move the date. Others feel that a clash of interests is inevitable. You can read their entire conversation below.

Bollywood Hungama reported that an exhibitor, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said: "Is this the only week of release in the entire year?" Is the rest of Fridays occupied? Bell Bottom can release one week before or after." Atul Mhan, a trade analyst, also said that such a scenario shouldn't occur. He stated, "They should not clash. Is it possible for the public to see two films simultaneously in a week? Are they able to spend their money on two major films that are releasing the same day?

Although that's what the trade analysis and exhibitor had to say, Vishek Chanhan, a Bihar cinema owner, stated, "The clash was not viable and both films were highly anticipated." Bell Bottom, starring a star in Hindi cinema, is huge. One of the films should be moved in the greater interest of the trade. Fast & Furious 9 is a Hollywood movie that has been released. It's smaller than Akshay Kumar's and won't be able to compete with him. It's available on VOD (video-on-demand) since July 30, but I don't know if they will be able to release it on August 13.

Vishek noted that there is no way to know how many cinema halls would be open and that most states allow them to operate at 50% occupancy. Vishek stated, "So with presumably half the screens opening at 50% occupancy and two major films being released, the business will get divided and suffer." He also stated that the clash does not occur on a major holiday. He said, "It's nothing like Christmas or Diwali being on August 19. Why is it so difficult to bring both films on the same day? "Hence, only one film should be shown."

The above points are all in favour of change. Taran Adarsh, however, has a different view. According to the film critic and trade analyst, clashes are inevitable in today's world. He said, "On the one hand, Fast & Furious 9 is a big brand. On the other, Akshay Kumar will be releasing the first major Hindi film when the cinemas reopen. It's something I look forward to, but it's also something that I have to watch. He said that Bell Bottom and F9 are not releasing simultaneously, adding that the situation could have been worse if another film had joined the clash.

This is what the trade analysts have to say. However, an industry insider told the portal that F9 seems to be under pressure to make a move. The insider said that it was impossible to delay the film's release as the studio would need a three-week promotional period. He also mentioned that other Hollywood films were also being released every week. The insider also said that Universal had decided to release F9 in August 19, even though West Bengal and Maharashtra were not allowing cinemas to open. Insiders also stated, "Also we must understand that the Maharashtra government guidelines have not been in." As a result, there is no celebration as the government may add a clause that would be unfair to the cinema industry.

An insider sighed and said, "I wish Maharashtra or Delhi had opened earlier." Fast & Furious 9 could have been released on August 13, if that had happened. Maybe Akshay Kumar could have chosen the date, as Independence Day falls during the week. Think about what would happen if there were no clashes right now. Many Hindi and English films are still in production. It will not only be Hindi vs English films, but also two major Hollywood films and two big Bollywood movies on the same day. Clashes ki aadat daalni padegi."

What film will you be most likely to see in cinemas on August 19? Bell Bottom or F9, respectively?
