Their soured friendship worsened when the Bachchan family decided to not invite Shatrughan and his family to the grand wedding of Abhishek Bachchan with Aishwarya Rai. The Bachchans sent sweets to all those they couldn't invite.
Shatrughan Sinha was not happy with the gesture of the Bachchan family. In a conversation with midday, the veteran actor also discussed it. He said, "Jab bulaaya nahin phir mithai kis baat ki? Amitabh said that those who were not invited to the party were not his friends. I will not be placed in second place or embarrass him by accepting sweets."
Shatrughan lashed out at Bachchans, saying, "The least that I expected was for Amitabh and someone from the family to call me before sending the sweets." Why the mithai?
