In the course of the weekend, the Venom sequel made $90.03 million within the US all by itself. In the world, the film has was able to surpass its $100 million goal. The latest report that comes via the US box office indicates that the movie may be just beginning to experience the heat of mixed reviews.
According to Box Office Mojo, Venom 2 has earned $95.78 millions in the US in the first week, and only $5.75 million being made on day 4, i.e. Monday. If we compare the numbers of day 4 with the opening the day's $37.41 millions, then the difference is more than 70%, and that's massive. If we compare it with the day 3's $20.98 million the gap is larger. All eyes are fixed on Tuesday's numbers. To get a strong start it is required.
Globally, Venom 2 stands at $109.58 million.
In the meantime, Director Andy Serkis hinted at making Venom into the first of a trilogy. In an interview with CBR, Andy said, "I'm not sure if I'm able to answer that question however I can assure you that I had pleasure making this film that should work out this way, and there's another film, then of course! It would be awesome to create another. We'll check out what happens. Well, I'm not saying that I've got some ideas of my own but I'm not brave enough to release them on the market right now."
