Sonu Sood Comes To The Rescue Of Severely Malnourished Girl

Ankura Hospitals, in collaboration with Sood Charity Foundation, successfully treated a 2 1/2 year old girl who was severely malnourished. She had been suffering from anemia and old burns.

Dr. Srinidhi is the Medical Director at Ankura Hospitals LB Nagar. He stated that Afeefa Maryum was admitted last month to the hospital with a chronic, non-healing wound with intermittent blood loss and severe anemia.

Hot oil fell on her left temporoparietal area, left hand, nape, neck, and upper back of her trunk a year ago. The local hospital immediately treated her and she was discharged in less than a week.

The child was discharged but developed scalds on the left side of his scalp. He was admitted again to the hospital where collagen was applied to the nape and left side of his neck. Malnutrition occurred because the child did not receive adequate nutrition and diet.

"The parents didn't have the money to pay for additional treatment so they reached out to actor Sonu Sood who recommended Ankura Hospitals. The doctor stated that the child was admitted to Ankura for further evaluation. She was also given a management plan.

He stated that Dr. Hari Kiran's 24/7 expert nursing care and team of specialist doctors were essential for the baby's first few weeks, as they were critical for nutrition, brain maturation, and establishing feeds.

He said that the baby survived thanks to four weeks of medical attention by the entire team, access to advanced equipment, standard treatment protocols, key medical interventions, and procedures.
