Ekta didn't take names, but she did refer to Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. The actor died last year at his Mumbai home where he was found unresponsive. Ekta gave Sushant his break on her show Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil, but it was Pavitra Rishta's Zee TV show that made him a household figure.
