Sidharth Shukla was more than a talented actor. He was also a kind and generous person. Late Pratyusha Banerjee's family has revealed in a new interview that Sid was their son. He sent them 20,000 to help them out of a crisis. Pratyusha was a friend of the late actor Balika Vadhu.

Pratyusha Banerjee revealed to Aaj Tak that Sidharth Shukla had been in touch with her since the death of their daughter in 2016. Sid would often ask her father on Whatsapp if they need anything.
Pratyusha Banerjee’s father, Sidharth Shukla, appreciated Sidharth's heart of Gold and said, "I don't understand how it happened." He was my son. Sidharth, Pratyusha and Balika Vadhu were close friends. He used to return home too. Many people spoke about Sidharth's relationship with Pratyusha, which led to Sidharth not coming home after Pratyusha's passing. I was often asked questions by him via WhatsApp messages."
Pratyusha's dad Shankar Banerjee said, "During this lockdown he used to continuously message me. His last message was a few months ago. He used to send me messages asking for help: "Uncle, aunty, do you need any help?", "Are you guys okay?", "Can you help in any way?" He had forced me to send Rs20,000.
Sidharth Shukla, who suffered a heart attack on Thursday, died. His last rites were performed today at Oshiwara crematorium.
Sidharth's rumoured girlfriend Shehnaaz Gil accompanied him to the hospital yesterday. He looked distraught today at the crematorium.
