In a recent appearance at DragonCon 2021, Zachary Levi admits he feels jealousy towards Ryan Reynolds as he snug the Deadpool role that he always dreamt to play, the actor said, "For years I've wanted to be Deadpool. Ryan was amazing. I was jealous.
"Reed Richards would make a lot of fun. To be honest, I don’t allow myself to travel down those roads. I’m so good at it. I'm so set. It's a dream role that I get to play Captain Marvel/Shazam!/Billy Batson. It's also got so many different DNA than almost any other superhero," Zachary Levi said.
He still wants to play Reed Richards, one of the founding members of Fantastic Four. However, it's too early to predict the future of Mister Fantastic. John Krasinski Brandon Routh, John David Washington, and John Krasinski are all popular options.
Ryan Reynolds had to overcome some obstacles before landing on Deadpool. Reynolds played Wade Wilson (also known as Mutant Killer) in the 2009 film X-Men Origins. Later, Reynolds was praised for his portrayal of Deadpool's titular character. Most recently, Reynolds was accepted into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). This means that he is completely content with Marvel Studios.
Zachary Levi will be reprising the role of Shazam! Fury of the Gods began filming in August 2021. It is due for release June 2023.
