The global release of Marvel's superhero flick was on September 3rd. Although there was a lot of hype before the film's release, word-of mouth did the rest. The film has now surpassed the $250m mark at the box-office in record time.

As per Box Office Mojo, Shang Chi has made$257.60 MillionGlobally, the film is now available. The film has been a success in the US and Canada.$145.60 MillionAnd another$112 MillionThey came from other territories overseas.

Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, the film stars Simu Liu, Awkwafina, Meng'er Zhang, Fala Chen and others in key roles. Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures distributes it.

Simu Liu is currently riding high on the success and popularity of his film. He recently expressed his desire to make a musical film.

RadioTimes interviewed the actor and he stated that he would like the next Shang Chi film to be a musical. He also shared with RadioTimes that people will be able to see his singing abilities in Shang-Chi as well as the Legend of the Ten Rings during a karaoke scene.

"Is it too soon to call this a musical?" I have always been a karaoke addict. You were able to see a bit of my talent in this movie. I believe it bodes well for Shang's future as one of the MCU's first musical heroes. Simu Liu stated, "I think you would agree."
