In case you aren't aware, the episode of Season 5 of The Good Fight Makers features characters talking about insensitive jokes and cancel culture. The creative team also took a dig at comedians by saying that they "need permission slips to tell jokes."

Things got ugly when the character started brainstorming ideas that were not allowed. This list included autism, necrophilia and "Selena Gomez’s kidney transplant." The episode was immediately spotted by Selenators who started trending "Respect Selena Gomez" on Twitter.

Fans criticized The Good Fight for their insensitive writing. Selena Gomez also broke her silence, writing: "I don't know how writing jokes regarding organ transplants for television has become a thing, but unfortunately it has apparently." I hope that when one of these tasteless jokes is presented, it will be called out immediately in the writer's room and not make it to air.

Selena thanked her fans for their support and continued, "My fans always have my back. I LOVE YOU.

The show producers were very insensitive. This isn't Selena Gomez's first such incident. This stunt was previously pulled off by Saved By The Bell and received a lot of backlash.
