Because June is coming to a conclusion in less than a week, we've compiled a list of the month's top earners. Veteran actors like Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar are on the list, but it's the younger generation of Bollywood stars who are leading from the front. Sanju, starring Ranbir Kapoor, is the highest-grossing film of the year.
Before we begin, it's important to note that the list only includes films that have been released since 2011. Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar appear to be in a fierce competition. Take a look to find out who the winner is.
10) Ek Villain
The thriller by Mohit Suri is currently ranked tenth. Ek Villain was aided by excellent music and outstanding performances from the actors. While Shraddha Kapoor and Sidharth Malhotra were praised for their endearing chemistry, Riteish Deshmukh's psychotic performance stole the show. At the box office, it grossed 105.50 crores.
9) Housefull 3
The multistarrer comedy starring Akshay Kumar is currently ranked 9th in Bollywood's highest June grossers. The entire cast's antics were what drew a big number of families to the theatres. It grossed Rs. 107.70 crores.
8) Holiday
Another Akshay Kumar film is on the way. Holiday, which is currently ranked eighth, was one of the films that assisted Akshay Kumar in establishing a stronghold on the box office during the early days of box office clubs. It brought in Rs. 112,65 crores.
7) Ready
One of the successful strategies for filmmakers is to cast Salman Khan in a comedy caper. The picture had a great supporting cast, and Salman's "Dhinka Chika" was the cherry on top. It earned 120 crores and is currently ranked seventh.
6) Tubelight
This is the second Salman film on the list. Despite the film's lacklustre box office performance, it nevertheless managed to place sixth. In India, it grossed Rs. 121.25 crores.
5) Rowdy Rathore
The fifth-placed film is Akshay Kumar's first solo 100 crore picture. It's become one of the most popular forms of mainstream entertainment in recent years. Rowdy grossed 131 crores in India throughout its blockbuster run. The film is Akki's third on the list.
4) Race 3
Salman Khan's third film has been added to the list! Except for its astounding stats, Race 3 has little to recommend it. Despite the negative press, the film grossed 169 crores.
3) Bharat
Bharat did well at the box office, but not in the way that was anticipated. Despite poor word-of-mouth, Salman's film grossed 209.36 crores, making it his fourth on the list.
2) Kabir Singh
Second place goes to a game changer for both Shahid Kapoor and Bollywood. Kabir Singh has reached a number of significant milestones throughout its theatrical career. It grossed 278.24 crores and has the distinction of being India's highest-grossing adult-rated picture.
1)Sanju
Sanju, starring Ranbir Kapoor, is the highest-grossing film on the list, grossing 341.22 crores. The film is a modern-day cult classic and one of Bollywood's most critically lauded biopics.
