The incident was reported to have took place in 2001. The Dabangg actor and the director got into an intense argument, and things took an unfavorable turn. The Dabangg star allegedly hit the director, and the latter admitted to the incident during a chat with a major daily.


According to in the Zoom TV report, Salman Khan confessed to the incident while confronted about the break-up drama with his former girlfriend Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. He claimed that he has never punched or kicked anyone, with the exception of Subhash Ghai. "I do get emotional. And then I get hurt. I've hit my head into the wall. I've hurt myself on all sides. I am not hurting anyone else. I only hurt Subhash Ghai. However, I apologized to him on the following the next day." He said.


Salman said "There are instances that you lose control. Someone hit me with a an object, almost broken a plate on my face, spit on my shoes, and then took me by the neck. I couldn't manage myself. Then, look what happened. Next day, I needed to apologize."



On the other hand Subhash Ghai later talked about the incident in a blog post and said the depressing incident for his. The filmmaker was reported to have said, "Next morning, I received a phone call from Salim Sahib, who showed his respects to me by apologizing and then escorting Salman to my home in less than an hour."



It seems Salman Khan and Subhash Ghai have sorted their differences out and even collaborated in the film Yuvvraaj in which were also Boman Irani, Anil Kapoor, Zayed Khan and Katrina Kaif. While the film was not praised with a high score but the film performed quite very well in the theaters.
