Films such as 'Pyaar Ke Side Effects,' 'Khosla Ghosla' and 'Honeymoon Travels Pvt Ltd’, Bheja Fry’, Mithya’, to?Titli’, & 'A Death In The Gunj’ have changed the sensibility of the audience and producers to invest in stories which are innovative and entertaining by nature.

Ranvir Shorey, an actor, is one of the common elements in all these films.

Ranvir said that he sees the change as a R&D department for cinema. It is a profitable business because of the huge amount of money involved in commercial movies. Business follows a pattern.

Ranvir Shorey said, "Going out with a big budget and if it fails, it becomes too risky for the production house. There come indie films. These films are low budget but have a strong concept. If we continue to make them with high conviction, a small budget, and succeed, our sensibility will change.

Ranvir Shorey said, "That is why, whether it's 'Khosla ..',’Bheja Fry’, 'Mithya’, or 'Bheja', that used to count back then in 2006-07, these films are no longer considered experimental films. These films have a large section of audience and the number is only growing. Indie cinema should be more successful in order to change the mainstream.

Ranvir Shorey stated, "Cinema can be a business. If cinematic excellence doesn't get supported by big production houses. The sensibility won't change in the business as well among the larger portion of the audience."

The actor recently has appeared in some prominent web series like 'Rangbaaz', 'Metro Park', 'Bombers', 'High', and 'Sunflower', among others.

Ranvir Shorey was asked if his criteria for choosing a script had changed. He said that he is still the same actor looking for stories that will engage me because I am the first (of the story), and if my character is important to the story. Films that tell important, independent stories are what have built my career.
