The producer plans to move the Court to resolve the matter of Ranveer Singh led Aparichit Hindi remake.
S Shankar, a celebrated filmmaker, announced that he would remake the Tamil psychological thriller Anniyan (Aparichit) in Hindi. Ranveer Singh will be the film's lead. Fans were thrilled about the film and V Ravichandran, the director, disagreed with them over film rights.
The 2005 Tamil film was directed by Vikram and Sadha starred as his love interest. The story centers on a frustrated everyman who is disillusioned by the increasing social apathy of public negligence. He then creates a split personality to try to improve the system. V Ravichandran, the producer of the film, speaks out during a conversation. He says that he is the sole and whole owner of the rights to the storyline and objects to it. He said that filmmaker Shankar should not proceed with the Hindi film starring Ranveer Singh and that he will take a legal route against him.
He also stated that he has been receiving support from his fellow producers. He stated, "The President of the South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce called me last month. All the producers are supporting my efforts, since this is the first time that this has happened in the Tamil Industry." Normaly, when someone remakes a subject, one producer meets another, and then we call the director. However, for the first time, without informing the producer the director went and met another Hindi producer and even fixed the actor (Ranveer Singh). I was shocked and sent everyone a notice from a lawyer.
V Ravichandran mentions that the Chamber asked him to not worry as they will soon hold a meeting in Mumbai with the Producers Association to discuss the matter. He stated, "Last Month also they went and talked, that's why i kept quiet. So, I'm waiting to hear what the Chamber has to say. Gada (Hindi remake producer Jayantilal Gada), is a close friend of mine and a gentleman. He has done so many business with me, it is hard to believe that this is possible.
The producer also plans to petition the Court for resolution of the Ranveer Singh-led Aparichit Hindi remake matter. He is upset not only with Ranveer Singh, but also with S Shankar, who was very close to him. Ravichandran stated, "I am only one who produced two movies together, whether I am making profit or not, but he's a friend." I don't understand why he does this.
V Ravichandran said that he didn't want the movie to be sold, but that he wanted to produce it. For the past 10 years, I've been waiting. I was shocked when Gada announced the Hindi remake.
