We may get to see a RK vs Salman Khan box office clash as EID is a day normally reserved for a Khan release.

In a discussion about Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal A trade source for the project said to Bollywood Hungama, "The film is a larger than life, intense gangster drama that explores varied human emotions ranging from anger, to ego like never before." In addition to the Ranbir Kapoor-led movie, "The producer Bhushan Kumar along with all the stakeholders have started conversations on the release date of Animal and if all goes as planned, it will be the big Eid 2023 release at the global box-office."
In a further discussion regarding Ranbir Kapoor's Animal the source revealed, "It's commercial, high on Testosterone and the team believes that the concept makes it the perfect Eid performance for the public. There's plenty of high-powered music the film."
If the makers decide to set Eid 2023 to be the date of release it will be Ranbir Kapoor's debut Eid movie release. It could also be a possibility of a conflict against Salman Khan, who almost always will have the option of an Eid release. The star Khan created Eid an event that was a major one for Bollywood films through a number of blockbuster movies such as Wanted, Dabangg, Bodyguard, Ek Tha Tiger, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Sultan and many more. One interesting thing to note is that the event that EID 2023 is delayed, it will be fourth Eid without any Salman film.
