Rakul Preet Singh, a Bollywood actress, arrived earlier this morning at Hyderabad's Enforcement Directorate (ED), to answer questions regarding the 2017 Drug Case. Rakul was summoned to question her on the 6th of September, but she had already requested to preone due to her busy schedule. ED then asked her to arrive on the 3rd of September.

Rakul Preet Sing was not the only one being questioned. 12 other big names from the south were also called up, including Rana Daggubati and Ravi Teja as well as Puri Jagannad and Navdeep. Shyam K. Naidu, Subbaraju and Tanish, Nandu, Ravi Teja's driver Srinivas, were among the others questioned.
Rakul Preet Sing was also questioned last year by the Narcotics Control Bureau in connection to Sushant Singh Rajput’s death.
An ED official previously told Times of India that around 12 cases had been booked by Telangana Excise and Prohibition and that 11 charge sheets had been filled. The cases involved eight drug traffickers. They are mostly lower-level drug dealers."
Officials from the ED are asking the film stars about financial transactions with the drug case. Charmme and Puri were both reportedly interrogated about their possible connections to Calvin Mascarenhas (a key defendant in the case).
Charmee, speaking to TOI, said that she had submitted all documents requested by ED. They have my full cooperation. I will continue to cooperate and give all the information requested by the law to the investigators. The law prohibits me from speaking further.
Customs officers arrested Calvin Mascarenhas (a musician) and two other people and confiscated drugs worth Rs 30 Lakh from their possession.
According to reports, they told investigators that they supply drugs to movie stars, software engineers, students at some corporate schools, and even celebrities. They allegedly had the mobile numbers of several Tollywood stars in their contact lists.
