Priyanka Chopra Jonas Joins Usher & Julianne Hough To Co-Host CBS’ Reality Series ‘The Activist’

'The Activist' is a series that features six activists teamed with three public figures working together to bring meaningful change to important world causes like health, education and environment.

Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Usher and Julianne Hough are set to co-host the Global Citizen competition series from CBS, 'The Activist'. The reality series, which will run for five weeks, will air on CBS on October 22nd and be streamed live on Paramount+.

"The Activist" is a series of competitions that sees six activists teaming up with three prominent public figures to make a difference to the environment, education, and health.

Deadline.com reports that "the audience will witness the activists' passions and commitment to their causes tested as they petition world leaders for urgent action to address the interconnected crises facing us."

They face off in challenges to promote their causes. Their success is measured by online engagement, social metrics and host's input.

These three teams share one goal: to create powerful movements that amplify their message, drive action and take them to the G20 Summit.

They will be able to meet with world leaders and seek funding for their causes. At the finale, the team with the highest commitment will be declared overall winner. The finale will also include musical performances by some the most passionate artists in the world.

The series is produced by Global Citizen, the international education and advocacy organisation working to catalyse the movement to end extreme poverty, said CBS and Deviant Media.
