Pooja became nostalgic as she posted about the film on Instagram. She also stated that the subject was "risky".

Pooja Bhatt shared throwback photos from the film's shoot and wrote: "#30yrsof #dilhaikemantanahin Today." These images have lost their meaning over time. The film's impact on the emotions it evokes has not diminished over time. #GulshanKumar deserves our gratitude for supporting my father's vision. He bankrolled a film that industry experts considered extremely risky because it featured a woman who flees her home to marry a man. She then ran away from the'mandap to marry another man with her father's blessings.

Below is Pooja Bhatt's post.

#DHKMN is much more than a movie. It's a feeling. It is nostalgia. It is innocence. It is love and longing. It is because it belongs to people and audiences, who have proven yet again that they can be more forward-looking and expansive than film industry professionals by accepting it with all of their heart and making sure it lasts for 30 years. The audience is wise. The audience is kind. The audience is generous. We are grateful to you all. Thank you for tying your youth, youth, love, and memories to this movie. I bow to and love you. She added, "Thank you all!"

Pooja's father Mahesh Bhhatt directed "Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin", which also featured Aamir Khan and Anupam Kher in important roles.
