Back in April, after completing the first schedule in Mumbai, team Pathan took a small break.

Since his last film, Zero, fans have been clamoring to see Shah Rukh Khan on the big screen (2018). He chose Pathan, an action film, to make a splashy comeback. Despite the lack of an official announcement, the film began production early this year. It came to an end soon after Maharashtra declared a lockdown. Team Pathan took a break in April after completing the first schedule in Mumbai. During the interval, the Maharashtra government declared a state of emergency owing to the second wave of COVID. The YRF had hoped that everything would return to normal in a short time, but the state administration has now prolonged the limitations until June 15th. However, the crew is upbeat because it has been learned that the government will likely allow shootings to begin on June 16th, so other preparations such as vaccination and building a safe environment are well underway.

“Some members of Pathan crew have received their jabs, the majority will be vaccinated over the next week. Buzz in the industry is that the government will give a green signal to shoots after June 15. That way, the team will be ready to begin filming in a bio-bubble. The production house is treading carefully, given the impact of the second wave, and will film the portions entirely inside the Yash Raj studio in Andheri,” reported Mid-Day based on insider story.

Pathan is directed by Siddharth Anand and is produced by Aditya Chopra. Deepika Padukone, John Abraham, and Dimple Kapadia also star in the film. Vishal-Shekhar will compose the soundtrack.
