Mirabai Chanu won on several social media platforms, and many celebrities hailed her win. But what makes Salman Khan tweets so special? He is her favourite actor. India TV News reported that Mirabai said "Salman Khan mujhe bant hi pasand hai." Unki body structure, pasand hai. "I like Salman Khan's body structure.

Mirabai Chanu, a Manipuri, was given a warm welcome upon her return home on July 27, 2007. N Biren Singh, the Chief Minister of Manipur, presented a Rs1 crore cheque to Mirabai Chanu. According to Hindustan Times, India's top weightlifter claimed that she was transported regularly by sand-carrying truck driver from her Nongpok Kakching home to the Khuman Lampak training centre in Imphal.

Chanu said, "I wanted to see the truckers who provided me regular lifts from home to the training centre and seek their blessing. They were there for me through my difficult times. I am looking for sand-carrying truckers to help me now.

Mirabai Chanu also revealed that she and her family were able to save money on transport costs, rather than diverting the money into her diet as a teenager.
