The tweet stated, "We love Lorde" and could not wait to see her perform on the VMA stage in future.

The song 'Solar Power' by a New Zealand singer arrived last month. The video for the title song is nominated at the VMAs for Best Cinematography.

Lorde has decided not to perform at the VMAs for the second time. Lorde danced through her song "Homemade Dynamite" in 2017 while she was battling a severe case of flu. In a since-deleted tweet recalled by Deadline, New Zealand singer said of the performance, "you can't tell in these pictures but i have the flu so bad i needed an IV #showgoeson #cutelilproppedupcorpse."

Ella Marija Lani Yelich O'Connor draws inspiration from the aristocracy to create her stage name "Lorde". She is well-known for using unconventional musical styles and introspective songwriting. Lorde's music is primarily electropop, but includes elements from subgenres like dream pop and indie electro.

In 2013, her debut studio album, 'Pure Heroine', was released. Lorde was also responsible for the soundtrack to the movie 'The Hunger Games Part 1'. She recorded many tracks, including the single "Yellow Flicker Beat". Her second studio album, Melodrama, received wide critical acclaim. It debuted at the top of the US Billboard 200. Lorde has received two Grammy Awards and two Brit Awards. She also received a Golden Globe nomination.
