Calling it an opportunity of a lifetime, Lara Dutta said it was a great responsibility to play the late former Prime Minister
Lara Dutta, actress and comedian, is ready to surprise the audience as she plays Indira Gandhi. The espionage drama "Bell Bottom" is scheduled for theatrical release on August 19.

Lara called it an opportunity of lifetime and said that it was a great honor to play the late Prime Minister.
"It's a huge responsibility to portray a iconic figure such as Mrs Gandhi. "It was important to get her body language correct," Lara Dutta stated at the 'Bell Bottom" trailer launch.
Bell Bottom was established in 1984, which is the year of Operation Bluestar and Mrs Gandhi's assassination.
"The film is about a hijack that took place during Mrs Gandhi's tenure," Lara Dutta said, describing the outline of the plot.
"Given all the drama that was unfolding, she was very centred. This was the best way to portray her. This role required a lot research and a lot of hard work. Lara said, "It was an opportunity that I am very grateful for."
