According to Hindustan Times, Kiara Advani spoke out about her connections with people in the industry, including veteran actors Ashok Kumar and Saeed Jaffrey. When she spoke first about veteran actors, she stated that her nana, Saeed Jaffrey’s brother, had been married twice. My mom's first nani was British. He was a Muslim but he divorced his mother to marry his second nani, Bharti Ganguly (who is Ashok Kumar's) daughter. My first nani traveled the world but it was my second, who raised me mom since she was 13. My nana passed away a few years ago, but my first nani is now back in India, and we are all one happy, big family."

Although neither her parents are involved in the film industry, Kiara Advani said that her mother Genevieve Jaffrey was a filmmaker and Salman Khan is a good friend. The Kabir Singh actress claimed that Salman had once dated her aunt Shaheen. The same daily she told, "My mom knew Salman sir because they grew up in Bandra. My mother Genieveve was often told by him how he would one day be a star. They were best friends for a long time. They would often go on bicycle rides together. My mausie Shaheen introduced me to Salman sir. Shaheen mausie and Shaheen mausie were long-time friends. This may have been their first relationship.
