In her story, Kangana Ranaut questioned why one has to change their faith to marry a Muslim.

Aamir Khan, Kiran Rao and their fans shocked Bollywood when they announced their separation Saturday, July 3. Kangana Ranaut, who was also present at the announcement, stated that the decision was mutual and that they would be co-parenting Azad Rao Khan.

Ms Ranaut posted a long note to her Instagram account about interfaith marriages. Ms Ranaut also wondered why one must change their religion to marry a Muslim. You can read her entire message here.
Kangana Ranaut posted a picture to Instagram and talked about interfaith marriages, and raising children in them. She wrote: "At one time in Punjab, most families raised one son as Hindu and another as Sikh. This trend has never been seen between Hindus and Muslims or Sikhs, Muslims or Muslims for that matter. With Aamir Khan sir’s second divorce, I wonder why children come out as Muslims in interfaith marriages."
Kangana Ranaut asked why one would have to abandon their faith in order to marry a Muslim. Kangana Ranaut wrote: "Why can't a woman continue to be Hindu?" This practice must be changed with the changing times. If Hindu, Jain and Buddhist can live together in one family, then why not Muslims. Aamir Khan's and Kiran Rao's joint statement to the world announcing their decision read: "In these fifteen beautiful years together, we have shared an entire lifetime of experiences, joy, and laughter, and our love has only grown in trust and respect."
