According to Times Of India, Pushpa Pagadhar was open about her financial situation. She said, "I have a few relatives who help me when I need it." Pushpa Pagdhar says that she doesn't get any royalties for her songs. She also said, "I'm totally dependent on other people and they come to me rescue and not government."
Pushpa Pagdhar said that she has made numerous requests to the state government for a house since 1989, but they have not responded to her pleas. Itni Shakthi Hame Dena Data's singer stated, "In these years I have travelled all over the state to raise funds to help drought-hit villages and other social endeavors. Each time I tried to meet the minister about my case, the only response I received was that he was on a tour or not available." The government needs to understand the situation of many singers like myself and show them the respect they deserve.
Pushpa Pagdhare spoke out about not being paid royalties for songs she sang. She said that she sang the song "Aga Pori Sambhal Daryala Toofan Aalay" with Mohammed Rafi. It was extremely popular. It was royalty until the HMV music label became active. After the label went out of business, the payments were stopped. Pagdhare said that she enjoys watching singing reality shows and that she doesn't know much about the music industry.
