No matter your age, stories of haunted homes always interest people. Do such haunted houses actually exist? Although it is impossible to prove that such houses exist, there are some stories that can be quite chilling. Bollywood actress Hema Malini, a veteran actor, had a similar experience and it was really frightening.

Hema used to tell the story, which dates back to the 1960s. She lived in Bandra's Manavendra Apartments at first. Later, she moved to Juhu and had a frightening experience.
Rediff 2018 interview: Hema Malini narrates that Subodh Mokherji signed her on for Abhinetri while she was still filming Sapnon Ka Saudagar (1968)). It was then that Ananthaswami's home was moved to Manavendra Apartments, Bandra. Bhanu Athaiya used the tiny flat to try on dresses. It was haunted when we finally moved to Juhu's bungalow on 7th Road.
"Every night, I felt someone trying to choke my; I had difficulty breathing. My mummy would watch me sleep and notice how restless I was. We would have ignored this if it had only happened once or twice, but it happens every night. She continued her horrible incident.
This is a truly frightening experience in typical filmy fashion!
Hema Malini last appeared in Shimla Mirchi 2020, which was on the work front. The veteran actress was part of a few other projects before this one. Prakash Jha's Aarakshan was her last major role.
