Many film studios were emboldened by Godzilla vs Kong to come out and distribute their films on the big screen. It demonstrates that if something is worth seeing on a huge screen, people will go to theatres to see it. Thankfully, A Quiet Place 2 has been a surprising hit, demonstrating that cinemas are regaining their footing following the pandemic.

A Quiet Place 2 has been in theatres in the United States for two weeks. The horror film has already proven to be a huge hit, with audiences flocking to the theatres to see it. The reception has been so positive that it has already outperformed Godzilla vs Kong on the domestic market.

As we reported yesterday, John Krasinski's new film surpassed the $100 million mark over the weekend, grossing $108 million in the United States alone. It surpassed Adam Wingard's monster saga, which had a budget of $99.6 million. The horror flick has also grossed around $80 million internationally.

The budget for A Quiet Place 2 is expected to be $60 million. Emily Blunt, Cillian Murphy, Millicent Simmond, and others have pivotal roles in the film.

According to Variety, F9, also known as Fast & Furious 9, grossed $746,000 in Korea over the weekend. It stars Vin Diesel and John Cena. Despite the lower figures, the picture has now become Korea's highest-earning film, with a total collection of $18.9 million.
