Punjabi rapper and singer Sidhu Moose Wala's death in the open has created a sense of terror in Punjab. The singer was killed on the 29th of May by sharpshooters in the highway in the middle. Since then, reports of celebrities being threatened with death were also received. The latest addition to the list appears to be the famous singer Jaani.
Recently, Bollywood star Salman Khan and his father Salim Khan had received death threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi Gang. After this, the celebrity added security to his entourage and obtained a gun permit to ensure his security. Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif were also threatened with death.
According to Any TV News report, the singer Jaani is seeking to improve his security by removing his Punjab Police force claiming that his life is at risk. Jaani also claimed that he's constantly receiving death threats via phone. In response the singer has sent an open letter in response to Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann and Punjab Police.
In his letter to Punjab CM, the 'Filhaal2 Mohabbat' lyricist stated that, after receiving threats, the family he was with fled to safety. In the present, his life as well as his manager's are at risk.
His manager Dilraj added that Jaani, a lyricist and singer has requested protection, in relation to which he's written an open letter addressed to CM Bhagwant Mann and Punjab Police. Jaani is continuously receiving threats of death from gangsters and is extremely shocked by the threat.
For the uninitiated, Jaani is well known for writing lyrics for B Praak's hit songs such as Bada Pachhatothe song "Titliyan", 'Kisi Ka Hoon Thal" and 'Merayar Hans Raha Hai Baarish Jaye'. The year before Jaani made his debut on screen as actor Jagdeep Sidhu's Punjabi film Qismat 2, with Ammy Virk and Sargun Mehta as the lead actors.
