Emraan Hashmi On Changing People’s Perception of Calling Him A ‘Serial Kisser’: “Can’t Catch Them by

The actor says that he has never bothered trying to change people's perception

Emraan Hashmi, whose film Mumbai Saga is currently in theatres, has a number of projects in the works.

At the moment, the actor is working on three very separate projects. Although he is committed to Chehre and Ezra, the actor has yet to confirm his role as Tiger 3's villain. He seems to have finally shed the label of "Serial Kisser."

He told IANS, “I haven’t done those films for a bit. People don’t address me that way anymore. I have never really thought of how people think of me. It’s as per the film, I have never thought of how people perceive me.”

The star, on the other hand, says that he has never tried to change people's minds.

“It’s up to people to think how they want to think. I can’t catch people by the throat and force them to look at me in a certain way. I just do my job as an actor and I don’t think about the perception as such,” he says.

Meanwhile, Emraan Hashmi says he is relieved that his film Mumbai Saga has been released in theatres.

“There was a bit of nervousness and excitement as it’s our baby which has been ready for a while. We couldn’t release it last year. But better late than never,” he says.

Films like Mumbai Saga, he believes, should be released in theatres.

“This film was always meant for a theatrical release. People will enjoy this film maximum there,” he says.

He does admit, however, that he has no idea how well his films would do at the box office.

He says, “You have nurtured this baby and you want to know if the world will accept or reject it. But at the same time, you don’t know what a Friday brings.”

Meanwhile, Emraan Hashmi says he is awaiting the release of his other films.

“I am concentrating on these films at the moment. I am gearing up for the release of my upcoming films and then I will move over to the new projects,” he says.

Chehre, a psychological drama starring Amitabh Bachchan and Rhea Chakraborty, is Emraan's next film. Ezra, his other upcoming film, reintroduces him to the horror genre.
