Dwayne Johnson posted a social media message acknowledging his team while filming Fast & Furious 8's final leg back in 2016. Although he had nothing but praises for his female co-stars, he decided to include a caption that acknowledged his male counterpart.

The Rock said, "There is no other franchise that gets me boiling more than this one." My female costars have always been amazing to me and I love them. However, my male costars are quite different. Fast & Furious star Dwayne Johnson, when asked about the differences between Vin Diesel and him two years later, agreed. "That is true. Johnson stated in the Rolling Stone interview that they were not together in any scene. "Vin and me had a few conversations, including a face-to-face meeting in my trailer. What I realized was that our philosophies about moviemaking and collaboration are fundamentally different. Although it took me some time to realize this, I am grateful for the clarity. We will continue to work together, whether we do so again."
