"Venom: Let There Be Carnage Director Serkis stated: "In many ways, this type of film is the thing I enjoy when it comes to storytelling. The way comics are constructed and the world they are in allow for plenty of options - it permits for genuine heartfelt, emotional themes. It can also provide a huge amount of fun and thrills."
The film brings back Eddie Brock, played by Tom Hardy, and his Venom symbiote who unleashes the terror of a the serial killer Cletus Kasady, played by the triple Oscar nominated Woody Harrelson and his alien carnage alter-ego.
He added: "There's nothing black and white about Venom or Eddie Brock There are a lot of grey zones and that's the case with the characters of Venom as well as Eddie Brock and of Cletus Kasady and his Symbiote Carnage.
"They are both severely damaged people and both carry lots of baggage. There isn't one person in the film that does not have this. I also love that you have the ability to really look into the baggage the characters carry."
"And (screenwriter) Kelly Marcel has really pulled the best from that, with extremely intricate psychological issues that run through each character and the one thing that unites them all is the notion of having a desire for family. They all want to find a way to connect and are seeking an understanding of what love means."
The film also features Naomie Harris. It is scheduled to release across India on October 14 , and in Maharashtra on October 22.
