And not just that, Dilip Saab used to call SRK his 'mooh-bola beta' and Saira ji once tweeted about the same from his official Twitter handle.

Saira Banu and Dilip Kumar were married for 55 years. They did not have any children. Shah Rukh Khan was a close friend of the couple, and was often seen at Dilip Saab’s house when he was unwell. Saira Ji shared a story about Shah Rukh Khan in a 2017 interview with Mumbai Mirror.

Saira Banu and Dilip Kumar were both present at the muhurat ceremony for Hema Malini’s directorial Dil Aashna Hai, which starred Shah Rukh Khan as well as Divya Bhharti in the leading roles.

Recalling the anecdote, Saira ji said, "Dilip saab gave the ceremonial clap (Dil Aashna Hai). I always thought that Shah Rukh might have been our son if we had one. He and saab look a lot alike. They also have similar hair. That is why I love to rub my fingers through Shah Rukh Khan whenever we meet. He asked me this question during one of their earlier encounters.

Saira Banu tweeted, "Message from Saira banu: Sahab’s moohbola beta-'son’ @iamsrk visited Sahab today. Here are some photos from the evening. This evening, @iamsrk visited Sahab. Sahab is doing much better after her return from the hospital. Shukar Allah".
