Dilip Kumar Helped Pak Prime Minister Imran Khan By Just Appearing To Raise Huge Amounts Of Funds

As the world mourns the loss of the legendary actor, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan recalled the generosity of the late actor and called him the greatest actor of his generation.


To everyone's surprise, the legendary Bollywood actor Yusuf Khan (also known as Dilip Kumar) left for heavenly abode. He was loved by Indians and was also admired by Pakistanis. Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan, who grieves the loss of the actor, shared how his generosity helped raise funds to support the SKMTH project.

Due to several health problems, the legendary actor was admitted to the PD Hinduja Hospital June 30. Faisal Farooqui, Faisal's family friend, shared the sad news about the death of the iconic actor. Celebrities like Shah Rukh Khan and Dharmendra have come to his home to pay their respects.

The world mourns the passing of the iconic actor. Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan spoke out to recall the generosity of the late actor, calling him the greatest actor of his time. Imran Khan recalled how Kumar raised funds for Shaukat Khanum Mortuary Trust Hospital.

Pakistan PM wrote that he was saddened to hear of Dilip Kumar's death. His generosity in giving of his time to raise funds for SKMTH was a gift I will never forget. It was the most difficult time - raising the first 10% of funds. His appearances in London and Pakistan helped to raise enormous amounts.

Imran Khan tweeted, "Apart form this, for my generation Dilip Kumar was also the greatest and most versatile acting talent."

SKMCH&RC, located in Lahore (Pakistan), is the first project of Shaukat Khanum Mortuary Trust. Imran Khan was the original inventor of this project.

Dilip Kumar was born December 11, 1922 in Peshawar. In the 1930s, he moved to Mumbai. The former Prime Minister of Pakistan, Nawaz Sharif, made his ancestral home, the House of Dilip Kumar, a national heritage landmark. It is located in Peshawar's Qissa Khawani Bazaar. As he returned to his home in 1988, the actor even touched the soil. Nine years later, Nishan-eImtiaz was awarded to the legendary actor for his contributions to the arts.
