Money Heist holds a special place within our hearts. Since the last 4 seasons, we have lived every character and there is an undeniable soft spot. Alvaro Morte is the one that has made the biggest noise. Alvaro Morte is the Professor in La Casa de Papel, and has gained worldwide fame. Did you know that he is a cancer survivor as well? Continue reading for more details.
Our Professor was diagnosed in 2011 with a cancerous tumor in his left leg. Alvaro, just like many others, began to imagine the worst and started to believe that his leg would be severed.
Alvaro Morte, in an interview with Cocktail magazine, said that he initially thought he was going to die. He also mentioned that his leg had been cut, but that nothing ever happened. I then thought, "If I die in three months, how can I calmly?" Do I respect the people who love me? Are my principles being upheld?
The Money Heist 5 actor even recalled the first time he heard of the news. I can still remember the white-clad doctor who came to me with the stethoscope and a white coat. Alvaro Morte, a 2016 Observer reporter, said that he told him "Look, this is happening to me and you have plenty time to live."
Many cancer survivors say they lose fear of death. The Professor experienced something similar after his victory over the disease. He began to enjoy his life to its fullest.
Alvaro Morte will be next seen in La Casa de Papel aka Money Heist Season 5. All is set for the series' premiere on Netflix in September. Stay tuned at the Koimoi for more.
