The actor who's 53 is performing his final role as 007 on 'No Time to Die' was able to recall how his time on filming for 'Spectre' in 2015 was a chance for him to try his hand and be cast for Director J.J. Abram's for role as the role of a Stormtrooper according to femalefirst.co.uk.
At the BAFTA speech, Daniel Craig said: "I almost lost it at that point. What else could I do?
"I believe we were watching "Spectre" and all of us were watching Star Wars. Ben Dixon, who was our seconding beautiful man Ben Dixon, he was on the seconding team and I was able to go to Pinewood to go to Pinewood to find out why I needed need to visit Pinewood for, but to perform something fitting or some other thing.
"And I told Ben I asked him "Part of me?' and he was like, 'Are ya serious?' And I was like, 'Yes'. Then he said to seek JJ'. He returned and said, "Yeah."."
Craig's concept to play to be a "background" character, or an obscure character performing something in the background. However, Craig ended up being significantly more involved.
Daniel Craig said: "Thing was that I was thinking "background Stormtrooper'. I'm talking about wanting to play the guy who is prone to head bumps in the first movie You know the one who accidentally drops their lightsaber, or some other thing.
"Then I was part of a whole ****** scene and I was like , OK! We did the scene and I thought, they'll loop me, and they'll add another voice to the scene, then I had to sit for about three hours working with JJ in a looping session as I recited all the dialogues. Really, do you need me to do this? Hire someone else to do this."
The actor was unable to believe in his luck.
Daniel Craig added: "And I sort of declared that I was not in the film 'Star Wars'. I'm sure I thought I was cool to sort of play around with it and then everyone started making fun of me, because I was kind of saying that I didn't really like 'Star Wars and then I was like, 'Oh that was so dumb'.
"But it was incredible and I'm in the film and Rian says that after watching the film his first action he said afterward was ask the question, "Who was that ***** Stormtrooper What was that guy? He claimed he knew it was somebody, no matter what. This is the way I walk clearly."
