Chehre Box Office: Amitabh Bachchan & Emraan Hashmi’s Film Didn’t Do Well Commercially

Though critically the film did find some good appreciation coming its way, audiences haven’t quite lapped up this cerebral affair.

The box office has not been kind to Chehre. It didn't begin well, it couldn't grow, and even on Janmashtami there wasn't any real sustenance. The film has accumulated merely2.50 crores*In 4 days, and even when one considers all of the pandemic-related aspects, the numbers just aren't there.

Although the film received some positive reviews from critics, the film has not been well received by audiences. The film's talk-heavy plot has not caught the attention of viewers who prefer their films to be light and fun. Even Badla, which was a similar movie, was intense but then it did have its pauses in the narrative.

Anand Pandit, the producer, did not succumb to the temptation to release the Amitabh Bachchan starrer with Emraan Hashmi & Annu Kapoor starrer on the OTT. He wanted the film's theatrical debut. This is a great move. However, the Rumy Jafry film will see fewer people in theatres.
