According to Billboard.com, Korean pop band BTS performed at the UN's Sustainable Development Goals Event on Monday (in India it's Tuesday night).

Fellow K-pop superstars Blackpink have also been named as Sustainable Development Goals Advocates, joining an illustrious roster of advocates that include actor Forest Whitaker, Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg, human rights advocate Malala Yousafzai, director/screenwriter Richard Curtis (Bridget Jones' Diary), youth activist Valentina Munoz and teen climate activist Greta Thunberg.
According to a statement on the SDG Moment 2021 movement, the UN's Sustainable Development Goals provide a blueprint for combating poverty and hunger, facing the climate crisis, achieving gender equality, and many other things.
BTS posted last week about their fight for the Moment's goals. They wrote, "If you believe there's hope we will find the way." We oppose racial discrimination, hate speech, and other forms of racism. Blackpink, a Korean girl-pop band, was appointed to be advocates for the UN Conference on Climate Change 2020.
Blackpink stated that they believe in collective action, and that their goal is to inspire young people to act on climate change. Only when we all work together for the common good, will we be able make a difference. It is time to take action now for a safer tomorrow, and a better tomorrow.
