South films were able to perform well in the first half of the year, and a few Punjabi films performed well recently, but Hollywood and Bollywood films failed to make an impact. Yes, Godzilla vs Kong did manage audiences but still the one which could have a long run was awaited. With the success of Hollywood films Shang Chi and The Legend Of The Ten Rings, as well as Fast & Furious 9, one can expect another language to reclaim its title.

Shang-Chi and The Legend Of The Ten Rings is a pleasant surprise as it comfortably surpassed the expectations10 crores mark in its first weekend. The film was not widely known and the collections continue to grow, particularly with Sunday fast approaching.4.50 crores*. The total cost of the Marvel superhero movie is now at10.80 crores*.
