Bell Bottom Movie Review: Script Analysis

Parveez Shaikh and Aseem Arora's story don't promise a new template, but it does offer a fast-paced, emotional thriller with the backing of Akshay Kulkami's school of humor. It is different from other films that follow similar themes in that it focuses on the development of a mission plan. Multiple movies have taken a different approach to planning and focusing on execution. The story guides you through the entire process and ends with a positive note about the execution.

This is what you'll get if 'Airlift' & 'Baby' has a baby & thankfully, this one contains the best of both worlds. It's not for those who expect a lot of action. There are only a few sequences. Rajeev Ravi, cinematographer, continues to differentiate himself from other genres with films such as Gangs Of Wasseypur and Udta Punjab. His first attempt at a period drama commercially brings together all his tips and tricks.

Bell Bottom Movie Review: Star Performance

We're spoilt by choices as Akshay Kumar has given us memorable performances like Special 26, Holiday, Airlift & Baby. Even though these performances are all very different, they still have their own unique qualities. This is all because one man decided to act in these films. Akshay is able to do things that will be with him for a long time because he has a solid script.

Adil Hussain's character, 'Santook' is a well-known and highly qualified one. Although he has one of the most memorable dialogues in the film, the narrator too heavily relies on Akshay Kumar to allow Hussain to shine. Lara Dutta was the star of the film for her 'Indira Gandhi look'. But I can assure you that she has done even better.

Vaani Kapoor does not add any value to the story. Although Dolly Ahluwalia was able to connect with Akshay, he could have used a bit more detail. Zain Khan Durrani, the most hated terrorist, is a constant reminder of this.

Bell Bottom Movie Review: Direction, Music

Ranjit M Tewari's post Lucknow Central is a surprise. It is not only his best film but also an important addition to the crowded genre-space. As-crisp-as-Chicken-crispy screenplay & oh-so-well balanced dialogues help to hide Tewari's weak points while directing.

Bell Bottom is proving that a good theme can change your perspective on the background score for your film. Bell Bottom has been raving about it. The cool sequences that it is paired with go well with the thumping title music. Sakhiyan 2.0 is not a part the film. A few romantic tracks are too forgettable. Climax's sad song does not reach the level of Teri Mitti's, Ashq NaHo, and Tu Bhoola Jisse.

Review of Bell Bottom Movie: The Last Word

It was a great film and I couldn't ask for a better movie to continue my big-screen journey. Akshay Kumar is a home-run hitter.
