Ammy is a star maker because of his performance in the film. He believes great scripts and great film directors are what make the movie successful. In the future, he would like to work with his favourite Bollywood directors.
Ammy Virk explained to IANS that when she was young, her family would only allow me to watch movies on television. My family is from Punjab so watching films and going to the cinema was not something we did every day. We would watch all Dharmendra Saab's films at home and Sunny Deol films at home. We enjoy watching action movies, family dramas, and other films.
Ammy Virk said, "But now, the whole idea and image of a hero is changing. That is why, when someone asks me who the hero in Bollywood is, I don't know the answer. I would like to work with great directors, learn from actors and have good scripts. Raj Kumar Hirani and Sanjay Leela Bhansali are my dream collaborators. I love their films and believe they are true star-makers.
They get the best performances from actors and if the movie works, the actor is also successful. That being said, I did my Bollywood debut with Kabir sir. I would like to work again with him."
Ammy Virk began his career as a signer. He also made the music video "Ikk Pal" while still in college. The music video was a huge success and he continued to make music. Ammy has more than 15 music videos. He is a popular singer in the Punjabi music scene. His films 'Angrej and 'Qismat, which were his top-grossing Punjabi films, are also his best-known roles.
Interestingly, the Punjabi film 'Harjeeta' that won the National Film Award, in which he played the titled role, also featured Pankaj Tripathi. This is actually how Ammy had worked with the veteran actor before the film '83.
He is a great person to be around. I'm new to Bollywood and met him again when I went to meet him and shoot for the film "83". It's great. Ranveer sir, is such a happy man. Since I'm still learning about people and how they make us feel at ease, it makes my job as an actor so easy. Ammy Virk shared that one cannot perform in nervousness.
Is he nervous about the long wait for the eagerly awaited '83? "I believe the pandemic has changed our thinking process. We are all grateful that we are still working and are safe, secure, and healthy. We all know the film will be released, but we don't have control over when it will release. My film was also in production. "I am grateful that two of my films have been released, and one more will be released in September," stated the actor, who has always played the role of the protagonist in his Punjabi films.
Although people enjoyed his appearance in "Bhuj:The Pride Of India", the film did not impress critics or the audience.
Does that bother him, since the actor in his Hindi films was part of an ensemble cast rather than a protagonist as happens in Punjabi cinema?
"Bollywood is a big dream. When you reach something slowly, it stays with your. You can lose everything if you try to achieve success in a hurry. Ammy signed off.
Ammy Virk will next be seen in Qismat 2, a Punjabi film, which is due to release on September 24,
