Now, Chehre is ready to hit the screens, albeit this time without Maharashtra, after the release of the Punjabi film Puaada, and the pan-Indian release Bell Bottom. The promos had already been released and the film was originally scheduled for release in April. The plans were canceled due to the second wave of violence. The film got a new start with the theatres opening again. One has to give the filmmakers credit for launching respectable marketing and promotional activities. Keep reading for Box Office News.
The thriller genre is reminiscent of Badla and promises high intensity. While the Big B and Taapsee Pannu film was more on the serious side, Chehre seems to be carrying fun entertainment quotient as well, courtesy the kind of characterisation and look that Amitabh Bachchan is carrying. The film also features multiple characters, which adds to the movie's ensemble and gives it an extra dimension. Rumi Jaffrey, the director of this Anand Pandit production, has created a new mood and atmosphere that promises a great cinematic experience.
Given the fact that only 20% is open for marketing, the film should be able to open at around 1 crore.
In the coming weeks, audiences will be more interested in cinema ventures. Therefore, one cannot expect a huge opening for any film like what was seen with Bell Bottom last week. In the days ahead, Chehre will be relying on word-of-mouth to get his film noticed.
