Akshay Kumar is certainly in a good mood. The day before he had announced his highly-anticipated Sooryavanshi movie to be released this Diwali. Yesterday was a big day for everyone Akki admirers as four other films received an official release date. But is he capable of making a massive change on Star Ranking with so many confirmed films? Before we start before we begin, let us tell you of how Koimoi Star Ranking aka Stars box office power index work. Points are distributed to stars based upon their film collections. In the moment, Salman Khan is at the top of the list with 2500 points.

Salman Khan's 2500 point total includes 990 points (9 films that are part of the 100-crore club) 600 points (3 films in the 200 crore club) as well as 990 points (3 films in the 300 crore club) and 100 points (50 points for each film for placing in the top 10 international grossers from Bollywood).

Akshay Kumar is currently sitting at 170 points, which puts him in second place, 2 points behind Salman in the Star Ranking. At present, Akshay has confirmed releases until 2022, including Sooryavanshi, Prithviraj, Bachchan Pandey, Raksha Bandhan and Ram Setu. With these five films (and with the announcement of Atrangi's Re due any time soon) it will be fascinating to determine whether Akshay is able to overcome an 800-point distance that separates himself and Salman.

It's interesting to note that as of today there is currently, no Salman Khan biggie has been revealed, along with the release dates. It's been reported that Tiger 3 will be arriving in 2022. If this occurs that way, there will be a gap Salman as well as Akshay will widen, making it difficult for Sooryavanshi to climb up the ranks to 1st at the top of the chart.
